I love everything about education - the kids, the parents, the bulletin boards, the lesson plans, the grading - you get the idea! I am passionate about connecting curriculum and technology! I believe technology is a tremendous tool, but it is not the only tool. It should be used intentionally, and I am passionate about helping teachers do that!
I want to be the best teacher I can be in my field. This means being a lifelong learner and a risk-taker. As such, I enrolled in another master's degree program to continue learning about my current field of technology integration. While some may think me too old to get another degree, I say - no way! You are never too old to push yourself to grow!
I have been in education for 30 years in many different capacities - teacher, supervisor, principal, and special area teacher. I currently teach STEM in lower school to 3rd-5th grade students, and I am also the lower school Technology Integration Coach. I love allowing my students to be creative and think "outside the box." We have a lot of fun in my classroom! And in my role as the tech coach, I love to create fun, engaging professional development sessions for our teachers.
Love to learn and explore!
